Evangelism Training Course

Evangelism
This 8 lesson course is designed to teach believers how to do personal evangelism effectively. It carries students beyond cognitive knowledge of principles into practical application. Each student is taught to share the Gospel using the Socratic Form (arriving at conclusions based on Socrates major premise/minor premise discussion format). This curriculum teaches students to guide a conversation to spiritual things and allows them to naturally proceed to the Bridge Illustration of the Gospel (the Bridge Illustration is a simple 10 minute presentation of the plan of salvation for fallen man).

Basics tactics of evangelism are also included in the course so that students learn to deal with most of the common questions and problems encountered when interacting with non-Christians. Students are also taught how to develop their own personal testimony and to use it in evangelistic encounters.

Overview Of The Lesson Plan

  3. Opening and Controlling a Conversation: how to naturally lead a discussion to an opportunity to present the Gospel.

  5. Lesson Five -- Sharing Your Testimony Effectively: how to write your own testimony and use it to tell others about Christ.
  6. Basic Tactics of Evangelism.
  7. Steven's Law and the Socratic Form of Evangelism: how to show people from the Scripture what the Word of God says about man's need for redemption instead of preaching it to them.
